Ok Jaanu Review / Ok Jaanu Movie Review : OK Jaanu is a romantic drama. It is an official remake of the film Tamil by Mani Ratnam, O Kadhal Kanmani, with Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen. Director Shaad Ali adapted the same story to Bollywood with some changes in the script to suit the taste of the Hindi public. Mani Ratnam produced the film in collaboration with Karan Johar under the banners Madras Talkies and Dharma Productions.
The story revolves around Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur), who is a games designer from Lucknow and dreams of immigrating to the United States. Tara (Shraddha Kapoor) is a graduate working in an architecture firm who wants to go to Paris to pursue higher education. They meet at the wedding of a friend and become close friends. As time passes, they enter into a living-in relationship, but their dreams force them to separate. What happens next forms the knot of history.
The story of OK Jaanu, which has already become a hit with the South Indian audience, will impress Hindi audiences as well. Some romantic scenes that feel good keep them amused in the first half of the film. The second half is also good, but its slow-paced narrative tests the patience of people. The climax is predictable, they say. Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor performed well. The sparkling chemistry between the two is the culmination of Ok Jaanu. Naseeruddin Shah, Karan Nath and Leela Samson, who played supporting roles, rendered justice to their parties, and are also among the assets of the film, said the audience.
