Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru Review / Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru Movie Review : Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, a newcomer to Karthick Naren, is a murder mystery thriller well executed. Only a few beginner filmmakers attract our attention with less known actors and show technical excellence in limited budgets. Earlier this year, the Mayas of Ashwin Saravanan had established a reference for the horror thriller in Tamil cinema, as the film had a waterproof scenario and amazing technical details. Similarly, Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru will raise the bars for murder mystery thrillers at Kollywood. Retired policeman Deepak (Rahman) recalls his famous case of an unresolved psycho killer to a young man who wants to become an IPS officer. Six years earlier, one of Deepak's regular days begins at his police station. When he returns to his cabin, the chief of police reports a case of suicide to Deepak, but during the investigation, they learn that it is a murder.
While Deepak tries to find the reason behind the mysterious murder, he gets another call saying that a girl is absent from his apartment with traces of blood visible on the floor. Deepak made tremendous progress in cracking the actual murderer and also found a strange connection between these cases, but he was unable to stop someone. Why? Watch the movie on the big screen To be honest, the story of Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru is not new to anyone, who regularly watch Malayalam movies as they did some fascinating thrillers of investigation tied with world cinema. But Karthick Naren steals the show with its performance, its nonlinear scenario and slick production values make it a compelling watch.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that Karthick Naren used the sound design and angles of the camera to narrate the story. Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru has its faults as well, a constable in Tamil Nadu having high degree of conversation in English with his superior officer is incredible. Although Rahman is well with his expressions, he still has difficulties with his Tamil dialogue delivery and not quite convincing as the protagonist.
Despite these small inconveniences, Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru engages us all the way and continues to throw up surprises until the end.
